Trying to come up with an exercise plan.

We all need to get a little bit of exercise daily. If staying healthy is for you. I need to for my kids. I want to live a long life to hopefully see all their accomplishments. http://www.americanheart.org/presenter.jhtml?identifier=4563 Dilemma: I lack the intrinsic motivation needed to get going. I MUST OVERCOME THIS STUPIC SET BACK! I have several options…1. Wake up early, like at 5 am to jog around the neighborhood. 2. Wake up early and do some aerobics here at home. 3. Jog in the evenings. Now for the duration…3 times a week, lets say Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Okay, let me up the ante a bit. I will make this a 3 month challenge. Too small? Okay 5 months. Now, staying healthy is the goal but now I can’t help but to think of all the other positives that will manifest from this wonderful challenge. Regular exercise will relax and clear my mind, release endorphins (great for many other things), and make me lose weight. I would love to see myself in my old 3/4 dresses. I j...

I found the Oatmeal

There must of been a little angel hanging out with me all this week. Whenever I felt unsure or a little nervous about something, I would feel a little hug of confidence come over me or I would see how the situation/s would just work themselves out. Monday started like every other Monday, only difference was my morning breakfast. I loaded all the Neilsen ratings, gathered all the web stats, checked for the online campaigns that were live or about to be...etc...same stuff I normally do when I start my week. A week later.... Yes, that Monday I was jumping for joy for realizing I had my favorite oatmeal to eat. Jumping jellyfish, I crack myself up! This past Monday I went from thinking about oatmeal to an active list of about 7 things. Rushing, planning, multi-tasking, sending emails back and forth and reminding myself to not worry on how things played out, to just be thrilled with completion and moving on to the next objective. The angel has still been hanging out with me though. My Mothe...

Am I doing this right?

For Lent I encouraged the family into following a prayer routine of every night praying for a different classmate. The original idea was to pray for the people we have little love for in our hearts. After two nights I realized my kids have few people in that category. I am glad. So our nightly prayer time turned into just praying for someone different. My kids get it because they pick the person who they remembered something bad happened to, like get sick, get beat up, or just looked like they needed prayer. My daughter said, “Mommy I don’t know her name but she worked with the photographer at school and had tattoos all over her body and piecing in places other than her ears. Please let’s pray for her.” How could I say no to that. This year I want the kids to not just “give something up” I want them to reach out their hearts for others. And experience a true sacrifice of being selfless while looking for people to pray for and searching for the needs of others. I however, during l...
